This is my Season.

"I know that there is nothing better for [me] than to rejoice and to do good in [my] lifetime; moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor-- it is the gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

ATM FUN

The Bank ate my check!!!!

Are your ATM machines digital now? You simply place your check into the slot without an envelope and whoa la it scans it and credits your account.
Great except I put my check through and it tried to send it back out saying it could not read it. "OK give it back to me so I can try again!!" Nope. I could see the edge of the check torn and stuck on the roller.

Here is my dilemma.... I have to decide to leave my kids in the car and go inside to deal with this or leave my ATM card in the machine and go get my kids out of the car to deal with it.
Why didn't I just stay home?

I finally realized that if i pushed every button on the pad several times and hard enough something should happen. (That's what the kids do anyway!!) My card comes out but no check!!

I unloaded the kids... asked them very firmly to sit quietly on the couch while I talked with the lady. She tells me that because the ATM is digital now I need to wait to see if the check clears or call customer service in the morning! She can do nothing about it!!
Great!!

Hmmm I feel ya. I haven't had much luck with checks and atms. I ALWAYS go into the bank now and deposit my checks. And ALL the time they INSIST that I should use the atm but then I REPLY, that when something happens (like in your case Cath) there is nothing they can do right? Their reply: Right!

oh man. So, did the check clear?
When I went to the bank yesterday to deposit some checks, the lady said they don't even use deposit slips anymore. The world is going digi!

Technology really is lame! Pretty soon the tellers will be digital. They may as well be since they aren't very helpful when you have questions and have no idea how to use or fix any of the "new" technology they now have. This is going on my list of things that bug for sure! Hope it clears!

And, here I go entering those wavy security code letters that bug me. Hopefully it will go through the first time =).
