This is my Season.

"I know that there is nothing better for [me] than to rejoice and to do good in [my] lifetime; moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor-- it is the gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Will he notice?

I'm in the middle of making dinner but had an epiphany and thought I would share with you:

Why not make bacon every night before my husband gets home? He won't notice I'm in sweats with no make up. He won't notice the house is a mess. He won't notice the screaming diaper clad child destroying garden tomatoes. He will notice how wonderful it smells in his house and that I can greet him with greasy open arms!!!

I did actually look up candles that smell like bacon. I know that would not go over to well. His stomach would not get the reward of such a sweet wonderful smell!!

Gotta go... he's home...wish me luck!!!!

****UPDATE: It worked!! He came in smiling, cheerful, and didn't pay attention to the 2 kids who were screaming with tears....Oh wait maybe I've gone too far!!

Saute some peppers and onions too that always seems to smell good to Steve and there's no grease. But maybe Darry hates veggies so scratch that idea and stick to the bacon. Costco sells a really yummy turkey bacon that tastes like the real deal just incase calories are an issue. Good Luck!

Sorry about the candle, but I know someone who has a bacon wallet-unfortunatly it can't be chewed for a mid-day snack! LeighAnn
