This is my Season.

"I know that there is nothing better for [me] than to rejoice and to do good in [my] lifetime; moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor-- it is the gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Socks

I have an amazing friend who did 8 loads of laundry in 1 day. That impressed me. What impressed me the most is that she folded ALL of the socks.
#1 she folded them.
#2 she had ALL the dirty socks placed in the laundry basket, make it to the washer, come out of the washer, make it to the dryer, up the stairs, on the bed, all the while not be eaten by her mad chewing baby or lost in the deep black hole that I seem to have purchased with my home. There were no missing socks!

With the bar set so high I promise to take small steps in my Laundry endeavors. I will start by not buying disposable socks for my family to wear.

I want to know what you do:
1. Do you fold your socks on laundry day?
2. What else do you get away with not folding? (I'm looking for time saving tips!)

no need to fold the tightie whities.
I save my socks for the very end of folding day. Whatever ones don't have matches end up in the trash.
Since when do you care about socks? You just wear whatever 2 you grab, matching or not! (love that about you)

You're hilarious! But I have to admit...I did end up with one non-match that day. It was a little white baby sock all by it's lonesome. It's sitting on top of the computer right now. Also, I don't fold my underwear...shhh! That's our little secret. Oh, and Ben doesn't fold any clothes, he hangs everything (except, underwear, socks & undershirts). I guess I should rephrase...I hang all Ben's clothes :)

I don't fold hubby's shirts, even his t-shirts. They ALL get hung up.

As far as socks go, I pair them and roll them...does that count as folding?

Cathy,Cathy,Cathy, You just THINK that you have an amazing friend, but she's not real.... It is just your desire to be amazing and so now you are imaging things(or friends:) Ok seriously, we don't wear sox and underwear- no extra folding, sorting or anything else.

Ummm never fold the personals (chones or socks). That's waaaay toooo much effort. No offense to your friend. hugs!

Buy all the same color/size for your hubby, buy all another color/size for you and so on...

The reasoning behind it is if you are short one on wash day, you just have to wait until next wash day to be back to all pairs again and the reverse is true if you find them again.

:D
