This is my Season.

"I know that there is nothing better for [me] than to rejoice and to do good in [my] lifetime; moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor-- it is the gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

A Sunday Drive

My husband and I packed the kids up into the "Duhm-Buggy" (aka. minivan) and headed off for a drive.
A drive to the urgent care for three of our four kids! Yes, three of our four kids have pink eye! What's to boot is the medicine instructions are "1-2 drops in each eye 4 times a day". They obviously do not realize I have to attempt this with not just 1 but 3 children:
An 8 month old who can be as flexible as a rubber band to get away from the drops. I believe I have just enough drops left in the bottle to use tomorrow.
A 2 year old who is laughing that I am sitting on her until the first drop is plummeting into her eye. She reacts faster than I have EVER seen. The drop misses her eye. Only 3 attempts for it to work.
A 3 year old who is crying just because I am sitting on him. I haven't even opened the dropper yet!
I'm supposed to do this 4 times a day?? I haven't even changed diapers, made any bottles, or served any meals.

Can I just add all the medicine to the bath water and have them splash each other?

****UPDATE: My one healthy son woke up this morning WITH pink eye! Now he doesn't feel left out of "quality time with mom."

I'm soooooooo sorry to hear this... but with that said, I'm ROFL after reading your comments! Does Darry have a giant clamp in his tool chest that you could put the kids heads in? Um, on second thought that could border on child abuse! (You may not have time to read this right away...I'm sure your at the pharmacy getting refills!!)

oh man!! I am reminded of the "Friends" episode when Rachel needed eye drops...LOL!

I think the bath scenario might work? How many refills do you get?

LOVE the bath idea!!! Do you think I am hard hearted for laughing hysterically instead of feeling sorry for the kids...I mean you ?!? ~LD
