This is my Season.

"I know that there is nothing better for [me] than to rejoice and to do good in [my] lifetime; moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor-- it is the gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Vanity of Vanities

I don't think myself a vain person but maybe my actions today proved otherwise.
I took my kids to the mall after a Dr. appointment because they were so well behaved. After we parked I went to fix my ponytail which was falling out. My ponytail holder snapped in my fingers and broke! I looked all over the van. We have everything else you may possibly need in that van. Not a ponytail holder.
I couldn't possible walk the mall with my hair a mess. You know the big frizzy bump a ponytail can leave. My thought was not to go in the mall and just go home. No, they were so good in the Dr. office and I already told them I would buy them a pretzel.
This is where my vanity took over: I pulled my daughter's pony tail out and used her holder! It only could hold half my hair but that was better than none! After fixing my-vain-self up I turned to thank my daughter whose hair is sticking straight up on top of her head! (Can you picture a baby chimpanzee?) I know! I know! I felt selfish and bad for her. I quickly went into the nearest teen girl jewelry store and bought her a ponytail holder!
