This is my Season.

"I know that there is nothing better for [me] than to rejoice and to do good in [my] lifetime; moreover that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor-- it is the gift of God."

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Magnets

Why don't they make King size beds any bigger? When my two boys decide to sleep with us, it's like sleeping in the toddler bed with them. I must have magnets all over me.
My oldest joined us in the middle of the night. I'm sorry, did I say "us". I meant me. He wanted to be on my pillow and in my personal breathing space. I think I moved him over at least 3 times in the night but those magnets are strong.
His brother joined me bright and early. (Way before I wanted to get up but right after Daddy left for his early morning meeting.) Now I am being magnetized on both sides. This new magnet wasn't going to go back to sleep. His cold feet found the only part of my skin that was not covered. His knees found my soft spot on my back. As I turn over to ask him to lie still, he coughs right in to my mouth. LOVELY!
I am going to invent a trap door in the bed that is rigged with a vacuum pump (like at the bank) that will take the boys right back to their bed.

he coughed in your mouth! DUDE!
Sometimes I think if they could crawl back inside, they would!

You're so funny! That's how our air mattress broke. There should be a warning on the side..."not intended for the entire family to use all at once!"

If you should happen to invent such a contraption, I would be very interested in purchasing one!!

most mornings i'm well aware of the magnet concept. it's many a morning that i wake up with my arm asleep below one child's head and the other kicking the blankets off of *everybody* because he *has* to be in the middle.
